I am passionate about the difference a great people-partner can make in a business – and not just because they help you do the right thing by law, but because they can help you articulate your business goals, get your people on board with your vision, uncover the talent to get you there, and help guide you through the 'hard stuff' that stops you and your business being as awesome as it could be.    

I founded Sidecar in 2005 to help make the small-medium business world in New Zealand a better place for the founders and their people – and I'm still doing that. It's what I love!

After 10 years working around the world in all different sizes and types of private-sector organisations (see my career history on LinkedIn), I realised that my favourite places to be were smaller entrepreneurial enterprises with a passion for their product and the ability to be agile, to make meaningful decisions and to activate change when needed.  

Throughout my 20+ year career I have worked with some exceptional, inspirational business people and have had the privilege to hone my people/design skills alongside some fabulous practitioners – most of whom regularly feature as voices of reason and encouragement in my head. Each of these people have contributed to my knowledge of most things people and business, and have supported me through a variety of professional challenges and growth. I have had many opportunities to lead large (and small) scale, complex organisational and cultural change and have encountered just about every HR situation you can think of.  

I also love living in the fabulous community of Island Bay on the rugged south coast of Wellington with my two daughters, Stella and Ali.

I am the founder and Principal Consultant at Sidecar, so you will be working with me; however, I do from time to time engage other practitioners that I know well, if the project or client requires it.
